US Election 2020: From Gigi Hadid to Selena Gomez, Hollywood celebrities urge people to vote

As Donald Trump and Joe Biden go head to head in a history-making showdown, celebrities from across industries have been calling on people to vote. Many US states have made it easier to request a mail ballot this year amid the coronavirus pandemic but record numbers are likely to turn out for the polls. With how-to use the mail-in ballots and long explanations on who to vote for, celebrities from Gigi Hadad to Selena Gomez are campaigning for their picks for the next US President.

‘Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds, who was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, revealed on social media he's voted for the first time in a US presidential election. "This is my first time voting in America. I'd like to thank my wife Blake [Lively] for making my first time so gentle and loving. It was super scary at first, then exciting and now I'm a little tired. But proud. #VoteEarly," the 43-year-old joked.

Singer Selena Gomez, one of the countless celebrities to have cast ballots, shared a few pictures of her voting experience on Instagram last week. "Just finished filling out my ballot!" she wrote.

Natalie Portman , who will be making MCU history as the first female ‘Thor’ in the upcoming movie, wrote: "14 days until the election! Have you all voted yet? Tag me in your voting pics @natalieportman and swipe right for a list of early voting dates by state."

Nick Jonas, singer of ‘Sucker for You’, sent his vote in via mail. He posted a picture of himself on social media, writing: "Challenge accepted @michelleobama! I challenge @PatrickMahomes @Deandre and @kevinhart4real to create their #VotingSquad 💪🏼 How are you guys voting? Drop your voting plan in the comments. Let's go!"

Whoopi Goldberg, posted a video on Instagram on Oct. 8, 2020, showing New York voters how to cast and correctly package their ballot from home.
