Netflix’s ‘Dhamaka’ and Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan turns 31: All the projects fans can look forward to

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan turned 31 today and he’s marking the day with plaudits for his role as a news anchor in his latest movie, ‘Dhamaka’, which is available now on Netflix. The actor shared a snapshot of himself wearing a neon sweatshirt holding a chocolate cake with the words "DHAMAKA BOY on his Instagram account. “Phir se birthday aaya. Phir se khushiyan laaya. Sab 2-2 baar wish karo mujhe !! (My birthday is here again with happiness. Wish me 2 times.)”

The film marks Aaryan’s 10th year in the industry; he made his debut in Luv Ranjan’s ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, which went on to be a hilarious hit.

Sameer Vidwans’s next. The versatile actors next movie is thought to be a Hindi remake of a South Indian blockbuster, ‘film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. This however is conjecture – his involvement hasn’t been announced by official sources as yet.

But the actor is staying true to form with his roles in comedies such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. The movie is being directed by Anees Bazmee and features Tabu in an important role.

Currently Aaryan is working on the movie ‘Freddy’, directed by Shashanka Ghosh. Speaking about the film, the actor had told IANS, "As an actor, I crave to explore different facades of entertainment and with Freddy, I'm venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures. I look forward to dwell in the world of Freddy and bring alive this dark romantic thriller”.

He's also looking at the role of a pilot in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Captain India’. This is a movie that will revisit one of the most successful rescue operations in history.

Several celebrities shared birthday wishes for the star on social media. Ayushmann Khurrana shared a photo of him whispering something into the birthday boy's ear on his Instagram Story. He wrote, "Ab jo main tujhe bol raha hoon, bata mat diyo kisi ko. Btw Happy Birthday!" (Don't tell everyone what I am going to tell you. Btw Happy Birthday.)

Director of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Anees Bazmee, shared a photo of himself sitting with Kartik and captioned the post : , "To the man who defines charm and talent, Janamdin Mubarak @kartikaaryan. Hope you have a Dhamakedaar birthday!"
