Top 5 finalists: Thailand, Venezuela, Philippines, Ivory Coast and Mexico’s winner

Fatima Bosch of Mexico has been named Miss Universe 2025, emerging as a fan favorite in a contest marked by controversy, including a live-streamed incident where a Thai pageant director berated her. The 25-year-old humanitarian and volunteer was crowned by last year’s winner, Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark.
The top 5 finalists included Thailand’s Praveenar Singh (runner-up), Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali, Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo, and Ivory Coast’s Olivia Yacé. The finale, hosted by Steve Byrne and featuring a performance by Thai singer Jeff Satur, saw 30 contestants narrowed down to the top 5 through swimwear and evening gown rounds.
Bosch inspired viewers with her message:“Believe in the power of your authenticity. Your dreams matter, your heart matters. Never let anyone make you doubt your worth.”
The three-week-long pageant included rehearsals, cultural events, and activities across Thailand. See highlights and photos.
