Diwali 2020: Mohanlal, Sanjay Dutt, Neha Kakkar celebrate in Dubai, see how other Bollywood stars celebrated the festival

Bollywood may have marked the Festival of Lights a little differently this year owning to a global pandemic, but they definitely celebrated it in style. From festive photos from Dubai to family-only gatherings, here’s a look at how stars spent Diwali. Up first, Janhvi Kapoor wore yellow as she wished fans. Her caption read, "Messy hair and messier makeup by ME 🕺🏼 Happy Diwali ❤️".

Sanjay Dutt had recently travelled to Dubai to be with his family. After wrapping up the shoot of ‘Drishyam 2’, Mohanlal also reached Dubai and was snapped enjoying Diwali celebrations with Sanjay Dutt and his family . Mohanlal and Sanju Baba are close friends and reportedly never miss a chance to meet each other. On Saturday, the actor posted a picture of himself celebrating the festival of lights 'Diwali', he wrote in the caption with diya icons.

In a separate post on Sunday, Sanjay Dutt sent his fans Diwali wish like this: "Nothing is better than celebrating with family. Wishing you all a very prosperous and safe Diwali and Happy New Year."

Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt celebrated Diwali at a party with close friends; they were seen posing with a chef too. The couple have reportedly been living together since the global pandemic resulted in a lockdown.

Neha Kakkar, who recently married Rohanpreet Singh, shared pictures of their first Diwali as a married couple in Dubai. She captioned the cheery image: “Our First Diwali Together and Most Special one. Happy Diwali Everyone!!! God bless you all.”

Glowing mum-to-be Anushka Sharma dazzled in an ethnic suit. She captioned an image of herself: “Got all dressed up to sit at home and eat . And it was great. Hope you all had a beautiful Diwali.” Sharma and husband Kohli are expecting their first child in January next year.

‘Article 15’ star Ayushmann Khurarana and his family - wife, brother and his wife, and parents - marked the Festival of lights together. Ayushmann posed a few photos from the get together. Bollywood action star Varun Dhawan marked Diwali with co-stars Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor on the sets of ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo' in Chandigarh. Neetu , who posted an image from the celebration on to Instagram, wrote: “New experiences, everyday !! A very different Diwali this year, but grateful for how loved you are all making me feel. Happy Diwali to one and all, let’s spread the light of joy and positivity!#jugjuggjeeyo.”

‘Gully Boy’ actor Ranveer Singh and his wife, fellow actor Deepika Padukone, were all smiles as this photo was being taken. They wore traditional outfits to mark the day; he wore an orange kurta, she a red sari. Singh captioned the post, "आप सब को दिवाली की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं 🙏🏽 Happy Diwali! Love & Light to all! ♥️✨ @deepikapadukone"

Ananya Panday, meanwhile, took to Instagram to share pictures from her Diwali celebration on Saturday. She looked beautiful in a bright coloured kurta as she posed for the camera in her balcony. She captioned the post, "Love and light to everyone! Happy Diwali 🦋💫 stay safe and be kind to our Earth and all it’s lovely beings ✨😁"

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas cuddled up with ceremonial diyas in London as they celebrated Diwali. They both posted the photo, captioning it, "Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating. From our family to yours. ❤️"

Dressed in white, Nushrratt Bharuccha spent her day in her new home in Juhu, Mumbai.
