Facebook debate: Aid to Gaza

A matter of urgency

Since the United Nations and world powers have become mute spectators and helpless against Israeli carnage of innocent Gaza civilians, no amount of weaponry and military aid to Gaza will help defend the Palestinians against Israel, which is powered by its Western allies.

The only solution to the conflict is to bring all the warring groups together for fair and just negotiations. They need to do this to find peace through intervention of neutral and peace loving nations.

The world has only shed crocodile tears over the killings of Gaza civilians, but no sincere efforts have been made to stop the carnage of innocent civilians. Unless urgent steps are taken, the death toll will keep on increasing.

Only unification needed

This matter can easily be solved without weapons or military support. What they need is the courage from the Muslim and Arab world. Once they are united against Israel, I am sure Israel will think twice before even slapping a Palestinian child.

Illegal occupation

Military aid and protection is necessary to stop Israeli occupation. There is war and endless killing of innocent children and civilians because of the illegal Occupation by Israel supported by the US. The Arab nations should unite and protect the oppressed Palestinians. I am a Filipino and I support Gaza.

Speak up!

I would like all Arab leaders to step up and at least speak openly with the media about Gaza. Only their air time on international news channels will help a lot. It will get more coverage in the international community and more awareness for the current situation. It will clearly send a message that the Arab states combined are unhappy with the free hand given to Israel by Western powers and the UN. I would urge them to at least speak up more against the atrocities.

Peace talks

It should be peace talks for both sides for a long period of time. It’s been irrelevant to have so much fighting for so many years. We need to stop both sides. I agree that foreign humanitarian aid needs to be given to Gaza. Peace will not be there if both sides won’t agree.

Pragmatism for nation building

The solution is simple. Israel has to cease colony building and a Palestinian nation needs to be constructed. Then they should build towards being a peaceful nation. There is no other solution and any country built on a foundation of murderous intent, is doomed to fail.

I have lived here for 38 years and we have all wanted a Palestinian state but shooting, killing and raiding with tunnels is not the bricks and mortar or framework of building a nation. Let pragmatism prevail.

Put on the pressure

The Arab governments should obviously get involved and do much more to put pressure on Israel and America to stop the destruction of Gaza and the indiscriminate and wanton killings of its innocent men, women and children.

Free them from siege

There should be humanitarian aid and peace talks along all these. All the Muslim countries need to unify and send their troops to Gaza to give safety to our brothers and sisters. Financial pressure

All of the GCC should slap huge tariffs on oil to the US and European countries. Only when America and the West’s greed for oil and money costs them more than they gain by association with Israel will they bring sanctions to stop the claiming of Palestinian land and force them to seek peace that profits both. More weapons will only bring more deaths.

Provisions from Islamic countries

Palestine should be provided with both military and financial aid. Israel never had a state and will never have one until the day of judgement. The Muslim world should unite and protect their Muslim brothers, whatever country or state they are coming from.
