The resolution emphasises the need for "safe, unhindered, and expanded humanitarian access" to Gaza and lays the groundwork for a sustainable cessation of fighting. Although toned down from initial drafts, which called for an immediate end to the 11-week war and reduced Israeli control over aid deliveries, the resolution gained approval with the US, Israel's primary ally, choosing to abstain. VIN DIESEL UNDER FIRE FOR ASSAULT: The star of ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, Vin Diesel, stands accused of sexual battery. A lawsuit has been filed against the actor for sexual misconduct yesterday. Asta Jonasson, Diesel's former assistant, claims he made inappropriate advances back in 2010 and was terminated when she rebuffed his overtures. Jonasson is taking legal action against Diesel, his production company, and his sister, the president of One Race Productions. The lawsuit includes allegations of gender-based discrimination, a hostile work environment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. While Diesel’s attorney has categorically denied the allegations on his behalf, there’s no doubt that Vin Diesel has a long road ahead of him. In the post #MeToo era, several public figures have fallen from grace after they were accused of inappropriate behaviour.
