SHAH RUKH KHAN TO ROCK SHARJAH INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR: We haven't seen Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen for over four years because he's on a self-imposed sabbatical. But that vacuum might diminish when you know that he's going to participate in this year's Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) this evening. History has taught us that anything to do with King Khan -- as he's lovingly called -- turns out to be a rockstar evening. He will turn on the charm and dazzle everyone with his charisma, candor, and self-deprecating humour. And he will subtly remind us that adages like 'out of sight, out of mind' doesn't apply to a legend like him. DANGERS OF UNDERAGE DRIVING WITHOUT LICENCE: Police have once again warned teenagers against driving without obtaining a driving licence. The warning comes after two Emirati teens, without DLs, lost their lives while three other sustained injuries in a horrific head-on collision between two vehicles. The accident, which was reported in Al Madam area of Sharjah Central Region at midnight, involved boys aged between 14 and 16. Although, the UAE Federal Traffic Law clearly states that driving without a licence can result in a prison sentence up to three months and/or a maximum fine of Dh5,000, a greater awareness campaign is needed to avoid these tragic accidents.
