Cheating is just plain wrong

It is a sad reflection upon society today that UAE students believe it is acceptable to cheat at school or university in their term work and tests. Where this belief comes from is difficult to say: it may emanate from among their peers or, even worse, through a level of tolerance and acceptance shown by parents, on the basis of "if you can get away with it, go for it".

Yet cheating at school does no one any favours. If found out, then it belittles the cheater. If successful, then the cheater is claiming credit for something that was not honestly earned and in due course of time will be found out due to incompetence in not conforming to his alleged accreditation. Worse even, if students think it acceptable to cheat in their youth, then they are likely to go through life believing the only way to success is by cheating and corruption.
