If you need to update your contact information, such as your mobile number or residential address linked to your Emirates ID, you can easily do so online via the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) platform. This convenient service is available through the ICP's Smart Services portal - smartservices.icp.gov.ae.

While contact details like your phone number or address can be updated online, certain changes require you to visit an ICP customer happiness centre in person. This applies if you need to:

  • Change your surname (for example, after getting married)

  • Update your occupation

  • Change the photograph on your Emirates ID

These updates require a new Emirates ID to be printed. For a detailed guide on how to make these changes and obtain your new Emirates ID, click here.
