If your residence visa expired after March 1, 2020, you will have three months from July 12 to renew your residence visa.

After the grace period, fines will be applied.

If you are currently outside the UAE, you will have one month from the date of return to the UAE to renew your residence visa.

Visit and tourist visa holders have one month to exit the country, from July 12.

Update: On July 16, ICA announced that visit visa holders would have the chance to apply for another month of grace period. After the grace period ends, fines will be implemented. Read more here: gulfnews.com/1.72635707

Schedule for renewal applications by the ICA

If your visa expired from March to April 2020, you can apply for renewal from July 12.

If your visa expired in May, you can apply for renewal from August 11. Those with visas that expired from June to July 11 can apply from September 10, 2020.
