Furne One

The collection It's Alive!

The lowdown Already one of the city's best known designers, Amato Couture's Furne One has attracted a gaggle of celebrity fans from all over the world, including Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum with his spectacular, theatrical designs. With collaborations with Rihanna, a brand new store in LA and a catwalk show at New York's World Fashion Week in the pipeline, Furne is destined for total fash megastardom.

The inspiration The classic Johnny Depp flick, Edward Scissorhands, traditional Geisha girls and Cyborgs from the future.

The look In a palette of icy pastels, Furne's collection of architectural gowns in French lace, tulle and linen, scattered with Swarovski crystals are the stuff of fashion dreams. Accessorised with scrap metal plates and crystal embellishment, expect to see more of this extraordinary designer's work on red carpets everywhere.

Shrekahnth

The lowdown Shrekahnth only launched his debut collection at Dubai Fashion Week in 2010, but his fabulous digital print designs fast became a favourite with the city's fashion editors. A graduate of India's National Institute of Fashion Technology, Shrekahnth's modernisation of traditional ethnic aesthetics, using hyper-real prints and their manipulation, are seriously fashion-forward prêt-à-porter. Inspired by bold Islamic art and local architecture - and experimenting with geometry and structural forms - this über-talented designer is destined for great things.

The inspiration The DNA helix, neurons and the artwork of ancient civilisations.

The look Inspired by the movements and concepts related to ideas of transmutation of species and of evolution of civilisations, this awesome collection of digital printed pieces are a must for the modern girl's wardrobe. And Shrekahnth is being tipped as the Middle East's answer to digital design maven, Mary Katrantzou.

Roopa Pemmaraju

The lowdown With a degree in fine arts from India's Chitrakala Parishath, and currently completing a Masters in Fashion and Textile at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Roopa's fashion vision focuses upon merging two distinctive cultures - of her homeland India and her adopted home of Australia. Her debut 2006 collection earned rave reviews from industry experts, and caught the eye of IMG Fashion, who rewarded her with sponsorship and a coveted spot in the Next Generation section of the Lakme Fashion Week the following year. In the wake of an impressive showing in the swimwear category at RAFW in Sydney in May, this season marks the official Dubai debut of the rising star's eponymous label.

The collection Earth Collection

The inspiration Aboriginal arts and traditional Indian prints.

The look Combining dramatic Aboriginal paintings and stunning Indian prints, Roopa's Dubai collection fuses traditional culture with a modern aesthetic, with deconstructed gowns and separates that are easy, modern chic at its best.

Amber Feroz

The collection Heights of Hope

The lowdown Hailed as one of the finest fashion talents in the Middle East, the unmistakable work of Amber Feroz has made its way into the wardrobes of the most discerning dressers in the region - from rock stars to royalty.

Famed for his magnificent draping skills and understanding of the female form, this season's collection is already being tipped as his finest yet - with his eccentric and explosive catwalk show the talk of the city.

The inspiration Bats, and Amber's imaginary artistic Nirvana, which he calls Giss Giss Limbawa.

The look From explosive digital prints mirroring the light refracted through the crystal mountains of Giss Giss Limbawa, to exquisite panelled gowns inspired by the bat, Amber's exquisite architectural designs cement his status as one of the region's most exciting design stars. And as an inspired choice for the forward-thinking, daring fashionista; watch out for Amber - he's going to be huge.
