When Nadine de Mascarel and her family went to volunteer at a home for the elderly in Occupied Jerusalem, it was a life changing experience.

Back in Dubai the mother of three wanted to continue to help the home with a lasting trade agreement and set up a clothing company called Chamaille.

Chamaille's mother and daughter collection is a clothes line that uses traditional Palestinian hand embroidery.

The special collection is hand-crafted by Palestinian women living in the Ein-Al-Helwi refugee camp in Saida, Lebanon. The initiative comes under the PCRF (Palestinian Children's Relief Fund) Women's Empowerment Programme.

Today, Chamaille donates 20 per cent of all benefits to the home in Occupied Jerusalem.

Through her clothing company, de Mascarel hopes to build a bridge of solidarity between communities in the Middle East.
