Bollywood stars made their presence felt at Manav Gangwani's show at the ongoing Pearls Infrastructure Delhi Couture Week (PI-DCW) in New Delhi on Thursday with Dia Mirza, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu and Zayed Khan coming in to cheer their designer friend.

This time at PI-DCW, celebrities seem to be choosing front seats and not the ramp to make their presence felt — making sure that due attention goes to the designer.

Gangwani's love for Swarovski elements continued as his collection — An Affair To Remember — was loaded with the glittering crystals that took all attention.

Inspired by the movie An Affair To Remember, this Delhi-based designer's collection is meant for bold women who love to experiment and are very sensual as well. "My brand is meant only for women who are bold and can carry any outfit with panache and confidence. I believe in dressing up like a true princess," Gangwani said.

The line had saris with bejewelled blouses, anarkalis and gowns in the various hues of turquoise, fuchsia, metallic greys and beiges that were appealing to the eye.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor, who walked the ramp like an experienced model for designer Anamika Khanna on Friday evening, says he discovered 32 years ago that he could never be a model.

"I started my career with modelling. The first time I walked the ramp was for Dhirubhai Ambani for Vimal fabrics. That was the first time and that too 32 years ago. It was at that point that I realised I am not cut out for modelling," Kapoor said before the spectacular, star-studded show.

That was also the turning point in Kapoor's life. "It was then that it dawned upon me that I should become an actor," said the 50-year-old.

He was in the Indian capital with his younger daughter Rhea, who has produced Aisha, starring Kapoor's other daughter Sonam.

The film has been in the news for the high-end wardrobes of the actors, so Kapoor decided to promote his daughter's project at the couture week. He took to the ramp in chic Anamika Khanna ensembles with Ira Dubey, Amrita Puri and model Lisa Haydon, who are making their debuts with the movie.
