Dubai now has a theme song called 'Ode to Dubai'

It’s not just movies and television shows that get their very own theme songs. Dubai has now become the first city in the world to have a theme song composed entirely by artificial intelligence.

The special tune, called “Ode to Dubai” was created by a robot named AIVA (Artificial Intelligence Virtual Artist). She created the song by using algorithms based on 30,000 symphonic music scores from the likes of, Beethoven Mozart and Bach.

Pierre Barreau, CEO of AIVA Technologies, is the man and mind behind the AI-composed song. The creation of this AI was inspired by the movie 'Her'. It is the only virtual artist to have been recognised by an author's rights society.
