We take you inside the posh homes of the rich and the fabulous. Prepare to be impressed.
“Dubai is the LA of the East,” declares Nicole Rodrigues, CEO of the Diva Group of Companies, as she welcomes us into her sprawling 25,000 sq. ft. Palm Jumeirah mansion, boasting ten bedroom, four living rooms and a spa.
Watch the full video here as we visit the amazing property:
Set in one of Dubai’s most exclusive neighbourhoods — where multimillion-dirham homes line the shoreline, Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan are your summer neighbours, and private beaches with pool are the norm — Nicole’s 10-bedroom villa stands out not just for its size, but for its sass and soul. But having a castle with a soul isn't cheap. The mansion is currently priced at a whopping Dh200 million.
“It takes me 20 minutes just to walk through the whole house,” she jokes, sweeping through marble-floored hallways and sun-drenched lounges. “So yes, I get my cardio in!”
Every corner of this oceanfront home reflects Nicole’s personality — from her signature lace curtains to mood-specific living rooms.
“Each bedroom has its own character,” she says. “Some are calming, some energise you — it depends on how you want to feel.”
While it may look like something out of a glossy design magazine, this is no showroom. Nicole swims in her pool (“I was in the ocean just yesterday”), holds board meetings in her oversized home office, and relaxes barefoot in her basement lounge.
“The basement’s all snooker and athleisure — no heels allowed!”
“This home is me,” she says. “And I am the home.”
What makes this home special to you?
This is my creation. The home is me, and I am the home. It reflects my mind in so many ways.
Do you have a favourite spot in the house?
My home office — it's quite big. I’ve got three desks, a conference table… It’s where I work, where my team comes in. Everything happens there.
What vibe do you want people to feel when they walk in?
Warm, energised. The light is key. Light is everything. When people walk into my home, I want them to feel the energy. Each zone has a vibe — serious, playful, calming. I built it all to match my moods.
What was your vision when designing this home?
This is my creation. The home is me, and I am the home. I like things organised, just like I like my head — clear and in place.
Dubai is known for going big — do you subscribe to that?
Absolutely! It’s Dubai, really. Bigger, better, blingier — and why not?
Let’s talk about the Barbie-pink living room ...
Yes! That’s the fourth living room. We’ve got a female section and a male section — my son entertains his friends upstairs and it’s fun. I think it’s kind of cute!
Do you use the pool? Or is it just for the ‘Gram?
Oh my God, a lot — I actually do use the pool a lot. In fact, I was in the ocean just yesterday. The water resets me.
What’s the least used space in your house?
There’s no such thing. Every square foot is used. I’m hands-on. I optimise every corner to work for the people who live in it.
Is your wardrobe really your sanctuary?
Totally. I love my wardrobes. I’ve got rooms with walk-ins, closets for shoes, gym wear, gowns, suits… you never have enough!
Do you ever bump into celebs in your neighbourhood?
I think it’s more like people run into the star — me.
