Shabby Dubai buildings a cause for concern

I took this photograph in the Al Sabkha area, Deira Dubai. When I first saw this sight, I could not believe that this was in fact in Dubai.

It is a narrow street, which is very congested and a complete mess. The electric wires are left open (as seen in the photograph) and the walls and ceilings are cracked and may just fall at any time and cause huge losses.

It is a busy market place and people are present in these buildings doing their jobs. I was so scared when I was passing through the street.

I request the concerned authorities to please inspect the buildings in this area and check whether they are safe for use or not and do the needful as early as possible, before any mishap happens.
