Risky speed breaker in Khalidiya

I wish to highlight the negligence of those responsible for a raised pedestrian crossing in Sector 2-33, Street 6 in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi.

It has been done with scant regard for unwary motorists.

As one can see in the photograph I took, there are no markings on the road to alert motorists about this large hump, which has been in place in the area for the past week or so. The temporary warning sign is something that motorists are unable to notice in their mad dash to their work places. This being my daily route, I nearly flew out of my seat and it was only my seat belt which held me in place.

However, I saw many a car and motorcyclist escape near death. Sooner or later, someone is going to get hurt — this is assuming that no one has got injured so far.

I urge the authorities to take immediate action before a terrible accident occurs.
