US relaxes visa procedures for Emiratis

Abu Dhabi: Emirati students who wish to pursue their studies in the United States are no longer required to book an appointment in order to get a student visa, a US Embassy official said.

"UAE students should apply online. They should submit their application form and required documents for review. Students can just show up at the Embassy," an official at the US Embassy told Gulf News.

Parents and students welcomed the new procedure.
