Dubai denies Dh10,000 salary requirement for sponsoring family

Dubai: An official at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs has denied reports the minimum salary limit for sponsoring a family has been increased to Dh10,000.

“So far there is no change,” the official told Gulf News on Sunday, denying earlier reports the salary requirement to sponsor a family had been raised from Dh4,000 to Dh10,000.

“Transactions are taking place as we speak on the normal Dh4,000 salary requirement,” the official said.

If there was any change in the visa rules, he added, it would be announced at federal level.
