Social survey results to be published on Monday

Dubai: The Community Development Authority (CDA) will be releasing the results of the fourth Dubai Social Survey 2015 on Monday.

Recently appointed Ahmad Abdul Karim Julfar, director-general of the CDA, will be discussing the survey results along with Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, executive director of Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC).

The survey aims to measure the current levels of key performance indicators of Dubai Strategic Plan.

The last social survey published in 2014, was conducted in the last quarter of 2013 by the DSC. It surveyed 3,796 families — 1,328 Emirati households, 1,504 non-Emirati households, 464 collective families and 500 individuals from labour accommodations.

The 2014 survey showed that 96 per cent of Dubai residents said they feel safe and protected from crime in Dubai, which is an increase from 92.8 per cent reported in the 2011 survey.

Key findings cover seven areas including life in Dubai, social cohesion, social needs and services, human rights, national identity, opinions and personal values, and social empowerment and participation.
