Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation to provide cancer patients with Dh500,000 annully

Dubai: The Dubai Health Authority signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation, a non-profit charitable foundation and a subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) to cover the cost of treatment of cancer patients at Dubai Hospital with financial constraints.

As per the MoU, the foundation will provide Dh500,000 annually for covering the cost of treatment, accommodation and medication of cancer patients.

The MoU was signed by Engineer Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the DHA and Abdul Razzaq Al Abdullah, CEO of Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation.

“This initiative will help relieve the burden off patients and their families who face financial difficulties. The MoU aims to support and strengthen the efforts of charitable and humanitarian activities in the UAE,” said Al Maidoor.

He added that the MoU aims to provide the highest level of care to cancer patients and is in line with the humanitarian initiatives of the emirate. He also highlighted the emirate’s role in initiating and supporting several charitable and humanitarian activities, in line with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Al Abdullah, CEO of Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation, said that he was pleased to signs the MoU and added that it comes in line with the efforts of the foundation to serve the humanitarian needs of people with financial constraints.
