Ban on noisy construction at night

Abu Dhabi: Noisy building and construction activities cannot be undertaken in the capital during Ramadan between 10pm and 7am, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced on Sunday.

The ban on noisy work at night was communicated via a circular sent to building and construction contractors and consultants by the Municipality’s Health, Safety and Environment division.

The circular added that night work permits should also be considered cancelled if tenants from neighbouring buildings file a noise complaint with the municipality.
