Abu Dhabi: The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has issued 12 fines to tenants and landlords in the capital’s Al Shahama suburb.

In a statement sent today (October 31), the municipality said two of the fines were for overcrowded apartments, whereas 10 were issued because unauthorised partitions and rooftop structures had been erected.

The fines were handed out following a recent inspection of Al Shahama, where municipal officials noted a number of unauthorised rooftop structures. Two warnings were also served to the owners of vehicles that were found dirty and abandoned.
