The Islamic festivals of Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha will be marked by a new retail and entertainment initiative, Eid in Dubai. The event was announced this month by Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group and Chairman of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSFO) committee.

He said Eid in Dubai is aimed at positioning Dubai as a year-round premier tourist destination, as well as adding to the special atmosphere in the emirate during the celebrations.

"Eid in Dubai will be another bond that brings people in Dubai together amidst true Isalmic values and traditions while celebrating both Eids," says Shaikh Ahmad.

Laila Suhail, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Shopping Festival, said the event will highlight the traditions surrounding Eid, and present festivities to appeal to the whole family.
