How is your school rethinking curricula to balance core academics with emerging skills like AI literacy, sustainability, and entrepreneurship?

We integrate emerging skills into core academics. Right from the early years students explore algorithms and basic coding. Sustainability is embedded into the curriculum and reflects in all aspects of learning. We actively participate in activities organised by the Emirates Environmental Group.

We nurture an entrepreneurial mindset in young learners. Students collaborate to organise small class cafes and whole school Math Souqs which enable them to learn entrepreneurial skills. Students from Grades 1-10 undertake multidisciplinary projects.

This balanced and holistic approach ensures that learning is relevant and interconnected. We regularly hold professional development programmes for teachers to ensure that they are well-equipped to guide students. We don’t just teach students what to learn but develop in them the fine skills of how to learn.

How does your school ensure students remain adaptable in an era where many future careers don’t yet exist?

Our integrated curriculum enables students to tackle real-world problems, allowing them to explore multiple solutions and adapt their thinking. Students are consistently provided opportunities to ask questions, respond to open-ended questions and diverse viewpoints are encouraged. The diverse range of activities embedded in the curriculum immerse our students in learning that requires them to be flexible, adaptive and creative.

We promote the interdisciplinary approach, connecting concepts and blending various subjects. Students explore how different fields connect and complement each other. They adapt their knowledge to unfamiliar contexts. We equip students with adaptability skills required to thrive in careers that are yet to be imagined.

While academics are at the core, we emphasise competencies like communication, collaboration, resilience and responsibility. To ensure that our students are prepared to work in diverse international contexts we integrate global perspectives and cultural understanding into our curriculum. Regular career counselling sessions inform students about the emerging trends and inspire them to be flexible in their career planning.

How do you leverage technology, such as AI tools, digital platforms, or virtual labs, to personalise learning for students?

We use adaptive learning platforms that assess the strengths and weaknesses of individual students. This data-driven approach helps students assess their learning. It helps teachers create personalised learning plans and interventions, making education more responsive and effective.

A comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS) that facilitates both synchronous and asynchronous learning, offers a rich repository of resources, including video lectures, e-books, reference materials, and interactive activities, providing diverse learning materials to cater to different learning styles.

Our teachers use technology that offers a risk-free space for students to explore and experiment, fostering an experiential learning approach that deepens conceptual understanding. Our digital platforms ensure a robust support network for every student. Parents are kept engaged and informed about their child’s learning and progress regularly.

How does your school embed critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving into academic pathways?

Through an integrated curriculum our school cultivates academic pathways that prioritise critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. The multidisciplinary approach allows students to see connections between subjects, think critically, and challenges them to consider various perspectives.

The inclusive child centred approach focuses on conceptual understanding through active participation and encourages creative problem-solving through collaboration. We promote inquiry-based learning by encouraging students to ask questions and explore potential solutions. Students are empowered to take risks and ownership of their learning journey.

By setting targets and personalised goals, students learn to critically assess their progress and make informed decisions to overcome academic challenges. Educators of our school are regularly trained in the latest pedagogical strategies.

What partnerships with industries, universities, or community organisations are helping your school prepare students for future careers?

Our partnerships are integral to our vision of creating global leaders. We organise interactive workshops and guest lectures with renowned university faculty to provide exposure to our students to diverse fields of study. Our community organisation partnership with non-profit organisations instills a sense of social responsibility and community service in our students.

This enables us to nurture valuable citizens who make a positive impact in the society. Students stay updated with emerging technologies, making them future-ready with a forward-thinking mindset in an increasingly digital world.
