Martin Nievera won't be making any surprise appearances at the 25th anniversary concert of Pops Fernandez at the Araneta Coliseum, Manila, on December 8.

After weeks of heated exchanges in televised interviews, Martin has finally issued a statement saying he chose to accept another job on the same day just to avoid Divalicious, the title of Pops's concert.

Disappointment

Martin has publicly expressed his disappointment, upset that he's not been formally and personally invited by his former wife to the event. The concert king was right when he said the celebratory concert won't be complete without him; but Pops clearly couldn't care less.

In a phone interview with our colleague and friend Isah Red, Martin said: "I want the public to know that I'm doing everything in my power to be away from Pops's concert."

To which, Pops allegedly said in another interview: "I'm happy with that." Looks like time hasn't healed their wounds just yet.
