Readers write in

Gulf News has focused on readers and readership for more than three decades. We have always believed that a newspaper that is not fair, transparent and ethical can never truly sustain or prevail. And we have done that in partnership with our readers — through letters to the editor, our Matter of Fact column, debates, online discussions, interactive Q&As, community reports, phone hotline, social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook and Google+, and grass-roots journalism. More than seven years ago, the Readers Desk was formed to bring all these elements under a single section — thereby creating a department globally unique in the newspaper industry.
