Appeal and apology?

Controversial TV personality Mariel Rodriguez made a public apology on showbiz-orientated programme The Buzz for her scathing and uncalled for remarks during her stint at the Pinoy Big Brother (Celebrity Edition) house.

Mariel was caught on cam saying how disgusted she was with show business, and how tasteless GMA was. The reality show airs on ABS CBN. Mariel explained by saying she didn't mean what she said on TV, and that it was all part of a task she had to do for Big Brother.

Is this another case of a common practice in the business of doing now, denying later?
