Dubai in 1962
What Have you ever wondered what Dubai looked like 47 years- ago? Well a Japanese photographer who came to Dubai in 1962 captured the city in 200 black and white photographs and has kept them hidden until today. Intrigued and fascinated by the environment and culture of Dubai at the time and curious as to what the city's future would look like, Kawashima set out to capture the emirate in an collection that will be revealed to the public for the first time. The photos remind us of how far the city has come in a short time and gives an insight to the culture and traditions at the basis of this emerging metropolis. Dubai 1962 is a magical collection which will fascinate everyone.
