Higher Committee explains the dossier on the UAE bid

Dubai: The Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on Sunday attended a presentation in Dubai chronicling the efforts and achievements made so far by the Higher Committee for Hosting the 2020 World Expo.

The Higher Committee which was established last May was formed by a decree by Shaikh Mohammad.

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates airline and Group and President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, serves as Chairman of the Committee.

The presentation also explained the dossier on the UAE’s bid that the Higher Committee will present at the International Exhibitions Bureau (Bureau International des Expositions, BIE) during its meeting in Paris next month. One hundred and sixty-one member countries of the BIE are expected to take part.

The dossier uses facts and figures to outline the ability of Dubai to host the global event.

The presentation, at the Emirates Towers, was attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai as well as some senior officials.
