A day after a massive fire destroyed the main stage at Tomorrowland, one of the world's largest electronic dance music festivals, organisers have confirmed that the event will still proceed, albeit with some adjustments.

Drone footage captured the charred remains of the iconic stage in Boom, Belgium, where the festival is held annually. The blaze, which broke out late Wednesday, was quickly extinguished, and no injuries were reported. However, the destruction of the main stage has left organisers facing a major logistical challenge just days before the event.

In a statement on Thursday, Tomorrowland organisers said they are racing to build a new main stage in time for the festival's opening weekend. While the rebuild is underway, they confirmed the festival will begin on Friday, two hours later than initially scheduled.

If the new stage isn't completed by then, the event will open in a reduced capacity, with a full reopening planned for Saturday.
