Dubai: The Wimbledon game yesterday between Novak Djokovic and Flavio Cobolli was one for the books, as Djokovic reached a record 14th men’s Wimbledon semi-finals. But what caught most people’s attention wasn’t the match, but an actor in the Royal Box.

Legendary British actor Hugh Grant, 64, was in attendance with his Swedish producer wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein, enjoying the quarter-final match. But soon after a video of the actor from the match went viral, as he ended up taking a nap!

On Wednesday, July 9, as Djokovic and Cobolli were battling it out to get a spot in the semi-finals, Grant was seen taking a snooze with his stylish pair of sunglasses covering his eyes.

The Notting Hill star, was also seated a few feet away from Queen Camilla, which made the video even more viral. Netizens had a field day with the video as some added to the funny moment, and others were upset.

One user wrote, “Wimbledon drama: Novak chasing records. Hugh grant chasing dreams.”

Another user was shocked Grant fell asleep during the tiebreak, to which another user replied, “My thought exactly.”

One user however, was not happy about this and wrote, “I would give my eyes, teeth to have this seat and Grant snoozes.”

But this comes as no surprise to some netizens as Grant recently revealed he loves strawberries and a bubbly beverage. Which most netizens deemed was the reason he snoozed at the game.

One user even mentioned how she herself, couldn’t stay awake despite being a big fan of tennis. She wrote, “I’m 23 years younger than him and don’t have kids, and I nearly fell asleep yesterday in front of the tennis. And watching tennis is one of my favourite things to do!”

“The weather has just been so heavy and humid, making it tough to sleep at night, and the man was wearing a full suit, for goodness sake! I don’t know how he does it, frankly,” she added.

On the Wimbeldon front, Djokovic will face world number one Jannik sinner in the semi-final.
