Love is in The Address: Couples can feel specially kneaded at The Spa at The Address: a two-hour Romance Indulgence Treatment (Dh995 per person) performed in the luxurious couples' suite.

If you have Dh8,888 to spare and would rather not fly to chilly Paris, try The Address's lovingly put together Valentine's package. You will be chauffeured in a Bentley, greeted by a personal butler and escorted to a private dinner on the terrace of hotel's Spa Suite. The five course candlelight dinner includes a menu consultation with Executive Chef Uwe Faust. Available on February 12, 13 and 14, priced at Dh8,888 per night, and it comes with a bottle of bubbly and berries, spa treatments for two, a spa bath, flowers on arrival, breakfast-in-bed and personalised souvenirs.

Amara Spa at the Park Hyatt celebrates love throughout February with its packages for couples. The Romance for Two package in the Couples' Suite (45 minutes; Dh550 per person) samples several delights: an outdoors rain shower, a foot and hand cleansing ritual in the garden, music of your choice, a 45-minute massage with pure rose and santal massage oil, while noshing on spa cuisine, dry fruits and tea. The session for her has a deeply exfoliating Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow treatment and then the Exotic Elemis Well being massage (105 minutes; Dh850). If it's first class romance you're after this Valentine's Day then Grosvenor House Hotel has it all wrapped up (without the price tag).

Expertly-arranged petals on the giant bed, chocolates on the side table, candles, bath salts, room mist, matching furry dressing downs and fresh fruit on arrival, guarantee romance before you've even started.

Indulge yourselves in one of the Grosvenor House's plush deluxe rooms with stunning views of Dubai Marina and The Palm (with the obligatory construction site out of the corner of your eye) for a credit crunch-friendly price which simply does not reflect the service and facilities on offer.

The ultimate romantic getaway, the hotel is offering dinner for two at either Slone's or Turkish Ottoman's, including a bottle of wine, as well as a night in the hotel, late check out at 6pm the following day and use of the beach and pool facilities for just Dh675 per person for one night or Dh1,050 per person for two nights.

And first class doesn't even start to explain it. Ottomans is cozy, comfortable and classy and the food is better than that.

A Valentine's Day set menu of either prawn or stuffed vegetables, either steak or lamb (which literally falls off the bone) for the main, a chocolate dessert which melts in your mouth with vanilla ice cream and a complimentary bottle of white or red. Turkish cuisine with a five-star touch. Perfect.

The ambience is refined and it's easy to lose yourself in the traditional atmosphere as the Oud and Tabla play softly in the background.
