She claims her remarks on living separately was misconstrued
Dubai: Sunita Ahuja has shut down divorce rumors surrounding her and her husband Govinda.
Dismissing the speculation, she firmly told the local media in Mumbai that no one can separate her from the actor.
"Living separately simply means that when he joined politics, our daughter was growing up, and many party workers used to visit our home," she explained.
Clarifying their current arrangement, she added, "Now that our daughter is grown up, we can move around freely at home in our shorts, so we took an office space right in front of our house. If anyone in this world thinks they can separate me and Govinda, let them come forward and try."
Earlier, in a conversation with Hindi Rush, Sunita revealed that they mostly stay in separate homes because Govinda often spends nights at his bungalow after late meetings and gatherings.
"We have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I stay in the flat with our children and my temple, while Govinda stays at the bungalow when he gets late. He loves talking—he'll gather 10 people and chat for hours. Meanwhile, my son, daughter, and I live together, but we hardly talk because I feel excessive conversation drains energy," she said.
Govinda and Sunita got married in March 1987 but announced their wedding in 1988 after the birth of their daughter, Tina. Their son, Yashvardhan, was born in 1997.
