Tamil film stunt trainer S. Mohanraj, 52, tragically passed away on Sunday, after collapsing during a stunt sequence for Pa. Ranjith’s upcoming film Vettuvam in Nagapattinam district. The incident occurred near Vilunthamavadi village, where Mohanraj slipped while jumping off a vehicle and reportedly suffered chest pain shortly afterwards.

Originally from Poongandam village in Kanchipuram, Mohanraj was leading action sequences for the production under Neelam Studios, which had commenced filming just days earlier. Despite being rushed to Nagapattinam Government Medical College Hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.

Local police have registered a case, and the discovery of a possible heart attack is under official review. Production on film has temporarily been halted as the crew mourns the respected professional's passing.
