Dileep and Mamta Mohandas star in this clash of cultures story

Director duo, brothers Rafi and Shafi, who are known for their family entertainers, are back with another story, Two Countries.
“This is a romantic comedy,” said elder brother Rafi, who wrote the script.
Dileep plays Ulhas, a young man from Kerala who sees everything as a business venture, including marriage.
Ulhas marries Laya (Mamta Mohandas), a strong and independent woman living in Canada. Mohandas last worked with Dileep in My Boss.
“Since Ulhas and Laya come from two different countries with a contrast in cultures, where is this marriage headed towards? That forms the rest of the story,” said Rafi.
With situational comedy thrown in, viewers can expect quite a few laughs, added Shafi, the director.
Unlike Dileep’s earlier roles, Ulhas’s character has negative shades. Rafi appreciated Dileep’s ability to understand humour and his perfect comic timing. The film was shot in Kerala and Canada.
The supporting cast includes Aju Varghese, Mukesh and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Gopi Sundar has composed music. Santhana Krishnan is the cinematographer.
Produced by Rajaputra Ranjith, Two Countries releases in UAE on Thursday.
