‘The film is apt for 3D’ says the filmmaker, celebrating its 10th anniversary
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Devdas is set to release in 3D and he says the film, with its lavish sets and a big star cast, is apt for it.
“We are now releasing Devdas in 3D. It is going to be 10 years since its release. It is looking amazing in 3D,” the 49-year-old said at a promotional event for his production Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.
“Just think when Aishwarya Rai [Bachchan], Madhuri Dixit and Shah Rukh Khan come in 3D in front of you, it’ll look so great, and the depth of the sets also. I think the film is apt for 3D.”
The 2002 superhit Devdas saw Khan as Devdas, Rai Bachchan as Paaro and Dixit featured in the role of courtesan Chandramukhi.
