Reports claim he's now the proud owner of home in exclusive St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island
Dubai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has just added another high-end address to his growing real estate portfolio — this time, a luxurious holiday home in Doha, Qatar.
The 54-year-old star recently purchased a property on the exclusive St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl, according to reports.
Khan confirmed the acquisition at a press event in Mumbai.
“Think of a holiday home or a second home. There are a few things I think of. One is that it’s not very far away and it’s easily accessible. And then the other thing is, the most important thing is that it’s very safe and it feels very good to be there,” he said.
Reflecting on what drew him to the location, he added, “There was something about the mixture of privacy and luxury that I really liked... It’s peaceful and secluded — perfect if that’s the kind of thing you are looking for.”
In addition to this new island retreat, Khan owns multiple properties in India — including a four-storey home in Bandra’s upscale neighbourhood in Mumbai where he lives with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their children. He also owns a premium apartment in Fortune Tower, Mumbai. According to The Times of India, the combined value of his Bandra real estate is estimated at around Rs 1 billion.
Khan also owns the iconic Pataudi Palace in Haryana, a sprawling estate he regained in 2014. The property, rich in history and cinematic appeal, has featured in films such as Animal, Rang De Basanti, and Veer-Zaara.
A taste for legacy and privacy
This latest purchase is not surprising for an actor who has long expressed a deep respect for heritage and a clear-eyed understanding of wealth. In an earlier interview with Gulf News, Khan had acknowledged the delicate interplay between his royal lineage and his Bollywood career.
“If it’s just my family background, I don’t think they [Jaeger-LeCoultre] would have ever heard of me,” he said, when asked about being honoured by the Swiss luxury watchmaker. “My job and my profession is obviously something that I am proud of. I am equally proud of my family background. I think one complements the other... it’s hard for me to separate the two.”
What’s next for Saif?
Khan is gearing up for the release of Netflix’s Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, an action thriller directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal. Slated to premiere on April 25, 2025, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Nikita Dutta, and Kunal Kapoor.
