Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan discharged from hospital after multiple stabbing

Dubai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from the hospital in Mumbai on January 21, according to reports.

The actor suffered multiple stab injuries during an alleged burglary attempt at his Bandra residence earlier this week. The burglar, identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, is now in police custody.

According to a report published in IANS, the accused was apprehended at Hiranandani Estate in Thane while attempting to flee to his native village. It was revealed that he hails from the Jhalokati district in Bangladesh, according to the police.

Before his discharge, Saif was moved from the ICU to a regular room. The surgery, which involved removing a 2.5-inch-long blade, was successful.

At an event, Saif's sister Soha Ali Khan shared an update on his health while speaking to the media. She said, "We are happy that he is recovering well, and we are very thankful. We feel very blessed and grateful that it wasn't any worse. Thank you for all your wishes."

Kareena Kapoor has also urged the media to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
