Bollywood stars Kumar and Sinha reveal what they would do if given control of tabloid!

Dubai: Judging by the trailers, Rowdy Rathore stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha may play gun-toting villagers, but when they visited the Gulf News office along with director Prabhu Deva yesterday, they were a picture of sophistication as they played editors for tabloid!.
If they had their way, they would splash their edition with Bollywood news, restaurant reviews and pictures of "the common people".
"You will make that person's day if you put their picture in a daily such as yours," said Kumar in an exclusive interview with Gulf News. Sinha, who made her debut in the blockbuster Dabbang, was quick to agree.
"It will bring a smile on their faces. I would add a lot more of these pages," said Sinha, pointing to smiling pictures of Dubai residents seen at various events.
The excitement was not limited to the Gulf News office. Earlier in the day, the Rowdy Rathore team made a dramatic entry in a run-down truck to address the media at a press conference.
"Do you want more proof about Sonakshi being rowdy? She's the only person I know who would agree to jump onto a truck, that too in a beautiful sari," said Kumar about his co-star.
Upbeat mood
Just like their on-screen characters, they were in an upbeat mood as they discussed the film due for release in the UAE on May 31.
"In the 1970s we used to makes these dialogue-centric films. Now after a long time in 2012, we are making a film with dialogues like ‘Mein Tera Khoon Peeyoonga' [I will drink your blood] … Rowdy Rathore is a loud, colourful film that will remind you of the films that were made in the ‘70s," said Kumar, who sported a fake moustache and purple jeans to drive home his point.
"I didn't have to do any kind of homework to do Rowdy Rathore's role.
"There's a rowdy in everybody. Maybe we try to hide it, but back home when you are with people whom you are comfortable with your rowdiness will just come out."
