Jobert Austria’s shocking suicide attempt

While Janno Gibbs was able to handle his depression, another comic, Jobert Austria was in the news last week because of an alleged suicide attempt. Austria, who appears in the ABS CBN comedy series Banana Nite and Home Sweetie Home, was reported to have made the attempt last week, when he tried to jump from a high-rise hotel apartment complex in Manila. According to the actor’s friends, Austria has been receiving death threats (reasons not revealed) that led him to panic and depression. He was stopped in his attempt by friends. He then called for his director, Bobot Mortiz, to have a personal dialogue.
