Rock veteran Eric Clapton earned a cool £7.3 million (Dh41.7 million) last year, according to his latest accounts.
The artist, famed for hits such as Layla, Wonderful Tonight and Tears In Heaven, recorded a turnover of £13.6 million through his limited firm EPC Enterprises. After costs and administrative expenses were taken out, Clapton was awarded the remaining £7.3 million, of which he left £390,000 in the business.
The guitarist nicknamed Slowhand earns his income from royalties and touring. Clapton, 69, finished a gruelling world tour in June.
