Geri Halliwell to spice it up on the X Factor

Geri Halliwell is to join the judging panel of The X Factor as Kelly Rowland's replacement as auditions for the next series begin this week.

The former Spice Girl, 39, is officially only a stand-in, a role she previously performed two years ago.

But an insider said: "She is in the running for the job full-time. Obviously if she performs well it will put her in a good position."
