Vir Das to make the US his base for part of the year

Actor-comedian Vir Das, who is shuttling between India and other countries for his comedy tour, is planning to make the US his base for a part of the year due to work.

The decision comes after becoming a talent of American comedy management company Levity Entertainment Group.

“My first tour to the States [US] was a great success and it’s amazing to know that so many people acknowledge my work far away from home. Plus, it’s amazing to be managed by levity and with that happening, I have some exciting projects coming up internationally,” he said in a statement.

“I will be making America my base for a part of the year to devote more time to the work I have coming up. It’s been a great year so far and it will be even better in the coming months. I will mostly be going back in July again to the US,” the Santa Banta Pvt Ltd actor said.
