Vir Das to get Dubai laughing

Riding on the success of his Netflix special Vir Das: Abroad Understanding, along with a gig on Conan O’Brien’s US talk show, the actor-comedian will be heading to Dubai to perform his stand-up routine at Ductac, Mall of the Emirates on November 17.

Titled Boarding Das, the Dubai gig will be a 100-minute set with the artist, as he features material from his world tour. Speaking with Gulf News tabloid!, organiser Amit Pateria, director of events, Raging Tiger, said: “Vir Das was already a well-known name, but he gained international fame with his Netflix show. It’s been a few years since he last performed in Dubai and this tour presents same great material.”

Tickets for the family-friendly event are already on sale, starting at Dh125. Doors for the event will open at 7.30pm, with an 8pm start to the show.
