Vidya Balan joins Facebook

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has finally joined Facebook.

The actress, who already had a Twitter and Instagram account (but wasn’t very active on either), made her Facebook debut ahead of the release of her film Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh.

“It’s exciting to be on Facebook. I like the here and now of it all. I like that the moment I launched the page, people began to write in questions. I am ready for that real time interaction,” said Balan in a statement.

The trailer of Kahaani 2, which released on Tuesday, is eerie and shows Balan as a frantic mother who embarks on a hunt to rescue her kidnapped child.

The film is a sequel to the 2012 Sujoy Ghosh-directed thriller Kahaani.

The second instalment, also starring Arjun Rampal, is set to hit theatres in India on December 2.
