The script of the glitzy Bollywood film Dil Dhadakne Do, minus the drama but with its decadence intact, will be played out at a wedding this April featuring Bollywood stars as its celebrity guests.

Actors including former beauty queen Sushmita Sen, model Malaika Arora Khan, Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty, Juhi Chawla and Shamita Shetty will jump aboard a luxury cruiseliner in Barcelona, Spain, for a four-day European adventure on April 6 when the son of the UAE businessman Rizwan Sajan gets married.

Reality television star Gauahar Khan will also be a part of the star-studded wedding celebrations of high school sweethearts Adel Sajan and Sana Khan.

The destination wedding is designed like a Bollywood musical with performances from singers such as Badshah of Kaala Chashma and Kar Gayi Chull fame, music composer duo Vishal and Shekhar and hitmakers Meet Bros on each night. Several themes such as the white party and royal Indian will be used during the destination wedding.

Invites have also been sent out to socialites and prominent names from the UAE social scene and more than 1,000 guests are expected to participate.

“As the date draws closer, we are excited to host all our distinguished guests and give them an experience like never before with Bollywood-themed evenings and spectacular star-studded performances,” said Sajan, founder and chairman of Danube Group of Companies in a statement.

The guest-list of Bollywood stars is also likely to grow in the coming days.

Touted as the biggest Indian destination wedding, it isn’t uncommon for Bollywood stars to attend private weddings.
