There was fun, glitz and Bollywood glamour Bajrangi Bhaijaan style as superstar Salman Khan joined singer Mika Singh to sing Aaj Ki Party Meri Taraf Se during a promotional event for his upcoming film.

Joining him were his team including co-stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Director Kabir Khan, singer Adnan Sami, singer Jubin Nautiyal and Salman Khan Films CEO Amar Butala were also present at the event.

“Salman bhai wanted to sing the song,” Singh said before picking up the mic for the performance. While Khan chuckled: “Mika stole my song.”

The film, which releases in the UAE on Thursday, was shot in Mandawa, Kashmir and Delhi. Kabir noted that going to Delhi for the promotion holds a special place in his heart.

“It feels good to be back in Delhi because I’m from Delhi. So, coming to Delhi for promotions feels great,” he told reporters.

Sami also sang some lines from his song in the film, Bhar Do Jholi Meri. But Nautiyal captured everyone’s attention by singing his number Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata.

The film is about a man who travels from India to Pakistan to take a hearing impaired girl back to her home across the border. Along with action, music and dance, the high point of the film is its emotional factor.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is Khan’s second film with Kabir after Ek Tha Tiger. And the 49-year-old actor shared that he enjoyed working with the director again.

“Working with Kabir this time was better than the first and I hope that our third outing will even be better,” said Khan, who plays the role of a follower of the deity Hanuman in the film.

Khan didn’t forget to mention the movie’s child star, who has an important role in the film.

“Harshaali Malhotra is very sweet. She is from Delhi, but has now shifted to Mumbai. She has done a great job in the film. She is very professional and focused,” said Khan, dressed in a white shirt and black trousers with a shiny ‘gada’ (mace)-shaped pendant dangling around his neck.

“We always strive to break our own records with our next outing. We don’t make a movie with a thought that Kick broke several records so let’s make a flop now. The intention is to break our past records,” he added.
