The actor reminisced about learning the sport while in school

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan put on his boxing gloves and filmed with real-life boxers for an upcoming project.
Early on Sunday, the 73-year-old posted pictures of himself in the boxing ring on his blog.
“Those artists that were in the shot were all national-level boxers. Such a joy to meet and feel their enthusiasm,” Bachchan wrote.
The Piku star later reminisced about his school days.
“[The shoot takes] me back to school and PT days, when boxing was compulsory, or it was made out that way. If you fought in the ring you gained a point for your house. And eventually added up to the winning [the main prize] at the end of term; a most prestigious reward,” he added.
“In Sherwood I lost in the boxing tournaments. But I won a cup for being the pluckiest loser. A plucky loser was an acknowledgment for putting up a fight, which I almost won, despite the fact that I was up against one that was stronger,” Bachchan said.
The veteran actor will next star in the film Pink.
