Satirist Anwar Maqsood in Dubai

Anwar Maqsood, who’s legendary in Pakistan for his thought-provoking dramas, will stage his play Anwar Maqsood Ka Dharna at the Madinat Jumeirah from March 23 to 27.

The play will touch upon the current political instability in Pakistan and hold a mirror to his country’s socio-political situation. While the subject of the play may sound grim, Maqsood is a master satirist and is known to insert humour in all his works. He’s best known for plays including Pawney 14 August and its sequel Sawa 14 August.

The tickets details to his latest play in the UAE are yet to be announced.
